Hello and thanks for visiting my store. My name is Steve Kobb, and I live and work in the same town where I was born, Houston, Texas USA.
I create pictures in such diverse media as oils, acrylics, gouache, and digital painting software.
The idea of having one style never really turned me on. Professors at my art school emphasized the importance of developing a consistent visual signature, so that people could recognize my work immediately. (In case you're wondering: It was the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. MFA in Painting, Class of 1975.)
Well, I'm an inveterate experimentalist and tinkerer, so that "consistent style" idea went in one ear and out the other.
The bottom line is that I love eye candy, and hopefully you like that, too. Don't ask me what qualifies as eye candy, however. I can only repeat that time-honored Latin phrase:
De gustibus non est disputandum. (“There is no disputing matters of taste.”)
